On July 25th, Aaron took me to Devil’s Lake, WI to go rock climbing. That was my 1st time and truthfully, I was a bit nervous. I trust him, and I knew that he had done this many times in the past, but I was nervous b/c I didn’t want to let him down. What if I give up in the middle?? That was my thought. Fortunately, everything turned out great!
Aaron picked me up after he got off work and when we arrived at Devil’s Lake area, it was quite cloudy with a bit of mist. Perhaps a sunny day would be nice, but I found out that b/c it was cloudy, we could climb without feeling too hot and we didn’t have to deal with sweaty fingers! I didn’t get to the top (but next time, I shall try harder!!!) but it was definitely an exhilarating experience! I think, though, I need to deal with my fear of height first! Right before I got down, I actually said out loud “I’m scared! I don’t want to go down” yeah… hmmmm….. *rolling eyes*
We stopped by my Aunt’s place at East Troy for supper (and a nice shower!) and then we watched a bit of Pirates movie (II) and had a slice of blueberry pie (from her favorite place: brass ball) a la mode before heading back home.
